Description
Dissolved air flotation Description
The DAF combines Ph Control, Coagulation, Flocculation and Flotation, all in one unit. The Patented SYSDAF technology does not require compressed air or bottom scraping. Dissolved air is provided to the system all along the bottom of the flotation tank and this ensures very efficient operation, maximum removal of pollutants and no sedimentation.
Coagulation/Flocculation
These processes play a central role in many water and wastewater technologies by facilitating the removal of suspended solids and colloidal particles. This is achieved through the addition of organic or inorganic chemical reagents called coagulants and flocculants. Coagulants neutralize the repulsive electrical charges (typically negative) surrounding suspended or colloidal particles, allowing them to stick together and create clumps or “flocs”. Flocculants support the agglomeration or aggregation of the coagulated particles into larger floccules.
